The value of Engagement

We are committed to providing a ZERO HARM ENVIRONMENT.  We attribute our efficiency, productivity, high-quality work and cost control to having a safe and actively engaged workforce.  Our employees learn and stay up-to-date on all safety procedures through our various safety programs that overlap with almost every aspect of work and life.

Monthly safety reports

As a team, we verify safety practices by inspecting and auditing against client, region and regulatory guidelines.  These reports identify areas of improvement, near misses, first aids, recordable, operational events, property damage, and personal vehicle incidents while at the workplace.  Our report also consists of management and field recognition on where we are excelling in safety.

Trained workforce

Our personnel are all properly trained in Electrical system safety and hazard recognition.   All team members are continuously trained and exposed to our safety procedures & tactics for providing safety excellence, hazard recognition and regulatory requirements.  The training consists of but not limited to:  The PJB & THA process, Hazardous Energy Isolation, First Aid Level C with AED, Distracted and Defensive driving etc.

Project Specific Safety and Environment Plans:

This plan is created with our safety leaders and project leaders to cover all aspects of the project from a safety and environmental perspective.  It identifies key stakeholders, project risk, project hazards, hazard mitigation, emergency action plans, environmental controls, and our continuous feedback and recognition mailbox address.

The Culture

Continuous Feedback and Recognition:  To encourage value added safety we empower our people and clients with continuous feedback and recognition.  This allows our programs to be continuously evaluated and improved.  It also identifies where we are doing well.

Safety has no hierarchy:  We believe that in safety we all need to be leaders to ensure the success of a zero harm workplace.  As management we encourage full participation in all aspects of the program where all ideas are championed no matter if you’re a new hire or a long time employee.

Customer Partnerships

We see ourselves as an extension of our clients’ operations, as we understand that every client has a slightly different operation the safety needs change with operation styles. At Point On Wave we make it a point to take the time to understand your operational and safety requirements. This way we ensure a Zero Harm environment for all.
